Santa Claus...

...is coming to town.

Every year at Christmas Made in the South, we have Kyndall's picture made with my friend Katie's dad, er, Santa Claus. Isn't he a great Santa Claus? He does a lot of work with the professional photographers in our area when they are doing their Christmas photo sessions.

I was really worried that Kyndall would by shy or cry when we put her in his lap. Boy, did I worry for nothing! We stood to the side of Santa while he took pictures with the other kids so she could get comfortable. No sooner did we stand there, she began waving frantically at Santa saying "Hi, hi, hi". When it came time for our picture, she sat right on his lap and gave him a funny look at his beard. Come to think of it, she had never been around someone with a beard before. No wonder she looks so perplexed!

After our session, she gave Santa a hug and a kiss. Santa went on break and came out to join us while we waited on our pictures to be ready. Kyndall spent this time hamming it up with Santa. I guess she really wanted to make sure Santa did not forget her this year!

And let's not forget last years Santa picture. Ahh! She was so small!

I am so in the Christmas spirt...already!!!

But...I have a confession.

I have completely broken the rules.

On November 6th, just a few short weeks before Thanksgiving (and a very, very short week after Halloween), I turned the Christmas music on.

Yes, I have now joined the group of crazies that turn on Christmas music in the early weeks of November.

I don't know if it was visiting Santa, excitement for Kyndall and seeing her participate in Christmas this year or going to Christmas Made in the South and getting my first taste of Christmas music that got me in the mood or a combo of all of the above.

Here's to taking a walk on the wild side. Break out the boxes of tangled lights, baked Christmas cookies and goodies and Mannheim Steamroller Choir...it's Christmas time.
