This is the theme for this year's 2009 Central Georgia Heart Walk.

Our team walked in honor of our friend Lauren's dad, Larry Shadwell. Lauren's dad passed away suddenly on March 1, 2007 from heart disease. He was only 53 years old. We all wore shirts in his honor that said "In Memory of Larry Shadwell". Heart Disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women. All donations help to provide research and education to stop this horrible disease.

Lauren raised over $1100 dollars in donations for her team! We held a bake sale at work and thanks to the hard work of all our coworkers who helped to contribute yummy goodies, it was a hit! We raised over $350 alone! I made some yummy cupcakes but sorry, I cheated! I don't have a recipe to share. You'll have to consult your local grocer for directions on the back of a Duncan Hines box.
